• Approximately 110 miles southeast of the Ritz-Carlton and +/- 2 hours travel time, depending on traffic

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

• Approximately 100 miles from the Ritz-Carlton, with typically, with typical travel time of just under 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
• Serves numerous domestic destinations on major carriers that include Alaska, American, Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest, and United. View the airport’s map of nonstop destinations.

At SBA – Rideshare (Uber & Lyft) and numerous taxi companies, plus eight rental car agencies. Note: The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara does not offer airport shuttle services.

In mid-September, Santa Barbara experiences its “second summer,” offering some of the cleanest, warmest, and most pleasant weather of the year. Daytime highs typically range from the mid-70s to the low 80s (24-28◦C), while overnight lows drop to a crisp 55◦F to 62◦F (13-17◦C). September features abundant sunshine and far less morning marine fog. Rain is incredibly rare this time of year, with the month averaging less than half an inch of precipitation. Mild coastal breezes are common. You will want to pack light layers—short-sleeved or gold shirts, shorts, and dresses for the warm afternoons, and a jacket or cozy sweater for the cool coastal evenings.
